Production Engineer
The Production Engineer is a plant process subject matter expert. Focused on optimizing production processes to deliver cost savings, improve quality and capacity. Additionally, lead continuous improvement in production and provide daily technical support for troubleshooting and routine activities.
What is possible?
Support Operations Leader in defining the weekly maintenance priorities minimizing impact in product commitments (Engineering Schedule).
Understand OEE losses and propose improvement plan in conjunction with operative team. Implement OEE tools to capture losses in real time. Support in developing improvement plant to improve site capacity
Day to day trouble shooting support, mainly related to software and technical/quality issues. Day-to-day responsibility for providing technical expertise and diagnosing and solving problems. (Initiate MOC and RCA if needed).
Implement Lean Six Sigma tool. Deploy quality tools such as RFT, Control Chart, Cpk and Ppk collaboratively working with shopfloor to ensure process are stable and under control .
Support operations leader in daily activities such as MOC, RCA, HAZOP, SOP Review and Strategic Projects.
Work with production staff in a daily basis, including operatives and technicians, to keep assembly, manufacturing and packaging systems working smoothly and efficiently.
Develop documented processes for production and engineering as required
Implement good manufacturing practices and continuous improvement culture in the production area: Golden batch, Cascade meetings, Lead and Lagging KPI’s, cycle time variability analysis.
Support operations leader to control raw material, improve variances and reduce production cost.
Drive through process improvements i.e. workflow analysis, reduction of change over times to improve productivity.
Produce and review standard times to measure any improvements and fully understand the cost of manufacture.
Support to project engineers during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.
What do you bring?
Preferably educated to degree level in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
