The Opportunity:
We are shortlisting for a Production Engineer to join a successful, growing tech engineering business that has increased its output by a factor of 6 over the last 3 years.
Producing technology for the B2C Electric Vehicle sector, you will take full ownership of supporting the production line developing effective testing (electrical/software/comms) environment, ensuring they meet quality standards before dispatch to end customers.
You will work alongside a team of warehouse and test operatives, and implement process improvements to maintain production volumes, ensure accurate stock levels are maintained and to optimise production output.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a senior engineer/team lead role in a production, assembly or manufacturing environment, preferably for electrical/electronic products
- Comprehensive knowledge electrical safety practices and devices (RCD, GFCI, SPD, etc.)
- A thorough understanding of testing and QA processes for electronic devices
- Familiarity in setting up electrical/electronic test benches and environments (e.g. jigs and fixtures)
- Knowledge of modern production tools, systems and techniques
- Ability to improve processes to minimise issues and reduce labour
- Strong inter-personal and problem solving skills
- Hands on attitude with the willingness to “roll sleeves up” to help out
