Job description
Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry, is currently seeking a Production Engineering Manager to join their team.
Supervise and develop Production Engineering team in the establishment and setup of production processes within automotive manufacturing plants. Applicants with prior seat assembly experience will receive greater consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Create and evaluate process plans and production preparation plans
- Supervise supplier selection process for sourcing of tools and equipment
- Control budget and track budget related activities.
- Collect and organize data in an orderly fashion to be accessed and used for future programs.
- Discuss agreement of equipment specifications with plants.
- Participate and guide the design, construction and installation of new tools and equipment.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Greater than eight (8) years of experience in automotive manufacturing and academic preparation required.
- Greater than four (4) years of supervisory experience required.
- Previous budget management experience required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
Additional Info:
General understanding and working knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and welding equipment and tooling including design, automation, robotics, or manufacturing processes (and all secondary related processes) relating to automotive interiors.
Work environment/conditions: On-site, open office, moderate noise level
Travel: must be willing to travel up to 50%
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
