Position: Production Draughtsperson
Hours: Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 3.30pm.
Salary: is negotiable and dependant on experience.
Job Type: Full Time permanent position
PSP Aluminium ltd are a manufacturer of high quality, bespoke Aluminium glazing products for a string of tier 1
and 2 clients across the UK. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Production Draughtsman to
work on site at our Shildon based production facility.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a small and dedicated team, liaising with individuals across
multiple departments and sites both within the business and externally.
Duties will include:
- Engage with client design teams and attend design meetings as required.
- Review / interpret customer design drawings
- Produce accurate material take offs utilising software packages such as Logikal, Schucal etc
- Produce comprehensive production packs in various formats for the fabrication dept
- Liaise closely with the shopfloor production team to resolve production queries
- An element of CNC programming
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience fulfilling a similar role within the Aluminium glazing industry.
- Experience in the use of Autocad, Logikal, Schucal and Microsoft office software packages.
- A good understanding of Aluminium glazing systems, fabrication methods and detailing.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work both autonomously and methodically.
- A positive ‘’can do’’ attitude and pleasant nature and the ability to communicate well with others in a
respectful manor.
- Full UK drivers’ licence
