Job description
As a member of the Alba Production team, you will play an active role in building and
maintaining an environment where the whole team can reach their full potential as a high performing and respectful team, ensuring a sustainable future.
Through active knowledge transfer and coaching, you will drive the development of colleagues and yourself. You will work flexibly across the department operating a variety of complex manufacturing machines / systems as well as undertaking hand labelling / packing / forklift truck tasks to support an increase in capacity.
What would a typical day look like:
- Be an active member of the Production team, working with peers and your Team Leader
to strive for excellence, through continuous improvement of all Production processes
- You will be responsible for identifying and eliminating bottlenecks and increasing
productivity. As well as participating in shift handovers and improvement meetings
- Maintain the highest safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards
- Adopt a mentoring role to actively transfer knowledge to other members of the
Production team, building collaboration and performance
- Ensure we maintain our excellent quality performance through close monitoring before and throughout our manufacturing process. Work with the team to identify and resolve the root cause of any quality issues
- Complete and update all relevant documentation required, for example but not limited to; handovers, SOPs, risk assessments, maintenance records, non conformances
- Complete any system requirements with a high level of attention to detail, mostly
through SAP, MES and other internal systems
- Communicate effectively with other Departments to help improve workflow and
efficiency of the production plan and output
Technical Skills & Experience Required:
- Experienced machine and/or forklift operator
- Experience working in FMCG bottling environment
- Experience working with Lean Manufacturing techniques OEE, 5S, Value Stream
Mapping, SMED
- Familiarisation of warehouse management systems (Logistics)
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office & Teams
