The opportunity:

Exciting times for our Christchurch laboratory, we are expanding and will require further Permanent Technicians to cover the workload. This is a fantastic opportunity to join AsureQuality and be part of the largest group of Food Testing laboratories in Australasia. In these roles you will be responsible for carrying out Microbiological analysis on routine samples and ensure our customer's products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Your key duties will involve:

  • Complete sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
  • Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
  • Ensure all relevant records are kept up to date at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
  • Participate and contribute to working safely.
  • Be actively involved in all the day to day improvement activities.

Our laboratory is open 7 days a week and flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal. You will be required to work one weekend day as part of your roster. The successful applicant will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week.

  • Recent graduate
  • Experience in a similar environment or worked in Retail or Hospitality
  • Passionate about Microbiology as a career
  • Good hand and eye co-ordination
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skill
  • Clear communication (both written and verbal)
