Job description

DutiesTo label, sort, cut, net, count, check weight, move or lift product or packaging to ensure the correct product of the right quantity is packed to correct specification for the customer on time.· Ensure compliance to product standard for the run as set by Team Leader or QA.· Report any issues or concerns with quality of product or packing time to the Team Leader.· The role involves limited decision-making as queries are normally directed to the Team Leader.· The jobholder will refer all formal man management issues and any complicated matters to the Team Leader.· Co-operate with Managers and Supervisors on all Health & Safety matters.· Take reasonable care of their Health & Safety and others and not interfere with anything provided to safeguard them or others and not to operate any machinery that they haven’t been trained to operate.· Report all Health & Safety concerns, unsafe situations or unsafe practices immediately to an appropriate person.· Report accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences and near misses to their Team Leader/Area Controller/Manager and co-operate in their subsequent investigation.· Adhere to the company safety rules at all times and refrain from doing anything that constitutes a danger to themselves or others;· Ensure that any equipment issued to them, or for which they are responsible, is correctly used and properly stored;· Be responsible for good housekeeping and follow the clean as you go policy in the area in which they are working.· Comply with all relevant Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policy, Environmental Policy, Technical Policy, Equal Opportunities, Diversity & Dignity at Work Policy and Hygiene Policy.```Requirements```· Attention to detail· Good communicator· Team work skills· Good numeracy skills· Ability to work within a time dependant environmentDesirable:· Experience of working in the fresh produce industryPlease note that previous experience in food production or a related field is preferred but not required.
