Job description
Through creative expertise and co-ordination you will be supporting the Content & Channel Manager to plan and produce cut through social and video content which reaches and influences both internal and external audiences and can help bring to life the stories behind M&S
You'll be working as part of an integrated Corporate Affairs function and respond to briefs from across the wider business and work closely with stores, sites and suppliers in the co-ordination of shoots.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of M&S brand building activity and deliver content and campaigns with impact across a diverse range of channels.
Key accountabilities
Creative delivery and brief response:
- Work with the Channel and Content Managers to respond to briefs from across M&S and develop creative solutions and new concepts and ideas for content
- Bring social expertise to creative and planning process – staying close to emerging social channel trends and technologies to ensure continual improvement in content delivery
- Plan, manage, shoot and edit in-house video and social assignments – in line with creative expertise - to deliver compelling and engaging content spanning videos, image animation, podcasts, presentations
- Brings expertise and detailed knowledge of tailoring and editing content for specific social channels – understanding the different needs of channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter and TikTok
- Adapt style for different audience groups (internal and external), across a range of channels and events – from social through to major regulated corporate events
- Working within M&S Masterbrand Guidelines to ensure brand consistency.
Co-ordination and planning:
Support the Channel and Content Manager and Content and Channel Officer in co-ordination and delivery of shoots. This may include;
- Management of shoot logistics – producing call sheets, liaison with stores, sites, suppliers and sourcing of relevant props and product
- Storyboard and script development – ensuring sign off from relevant Business Partners
- Working with relevant external agencies to provide b-roll and imagery
- Attend and participate in weekly content planning meetings lead by Head of External Communications and Campaigns
- Manage all projects to agreed budget and timeframes
Key skills
- Highly creative and motivated by new ideas and concepts
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Digitally savvy
- Proficient photography and videography skills and familiarity with various equipment for video and audio
- Excellent PowerPoint skills
- Good knowledge of industry standard applications including Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, etc
- Highly organised, strong project manager with excellent attention to detail
