World Wide Group is an award-winning production company, specialising in producing live event production for some of the world’s leading brands. We are looking for a creative and passionate production assistant to join our team at our Leeds based office. The position will support our production team in the coordination of client shoots and is ideal for university graduates interested in the production field. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting producers, directors, and management
- Conducting research for development of projects for local and international shoots
- Preparing visual material for pitch and proposal meetings (includes basic use of Adobe Photoshop)
- Assisting with production logistics – Crew management, equipment and travel.
- Transcribing rushes, audio tapes, and final programmes
- Proofreading (scripts, website copy, other documents)
- Drafting & amending agendas, schedules, call sheets, briefing documents, letters; Booking crews
- Visual research, including sourcing images, videos, and music tracks from online resources; Liaising with clients, responding to requests.
- Archive Management: This includes organising and logging new materials and maintaining database and related systems and procedures. Also, delivery and collection of items from physical archive, and sourcing archive resources as required.
- Assisting editors with post-production and handling of video files
- Assisting the producers with creative proposals and budgets
- Assisting with arrangement of licensing for productions
- Making travel arrangements (including visa applications)
- Creating/organising/maintaining job files for productions
- Booking taxis/couriers
- Sourcing/researching and liaising with potential freelancers/service providers, establishing accounts.
- Making deliveries/collections as required
- Providing assistance to productions on location
- Basic office admin tasks.
Person Specifications:
- Passion and interest in the production industry, film and video
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask
- GSCE or equivalent with Maths & English Grade A-C/9-5 (or equivalent) as minimum requirements.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including video editing skills and image manipulation. (desirable but not necessary)
- Basic camera skills for photographing events and behind the scenes content. (desirable but not necessary)
- Experience in a similar production based role. (desirable but not necessary)
- Qualification or degree in relevant area. (desirable but not necessary)
