Job description
An exciting opportunity to join a wicker handbag brand, manufacturing handbags in the UK. We are a family run business based in
Manchester, Trafford Park and will be joining a team of five.
Training for will be provided as we as working closely with the senior production
team and design team.
We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail, ideally someone who has worked with leather but this is not essential. This role would be perfect for someone who likes to create beautiful products from start to finish.
Main role will include:
- Trim and prepare leather
- Ink / paint raw / cut leathers edge
- Identify problems in the production line, how to increase productivity and efficiency
- Helping the production team with painting and quality control of leather (processing and finishing)
- Quality control check
- Prepare materials ready for next stage of production
- Involved in the quality control of the final product
- Stock control
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £10.00-£10.50 per hour
