The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a growth focused Account manager to join our team, responsible for owning the expansion and retention of existing accounts, coming from a range of Contractors, Housebuilders & Residential Developers/Owners segments of the UK and Ireland Construction market.

In this role you will:

  • Manage a high volume pipeline of in-term and end of term engagements across a portfolio of accounts, working closely with Client Delivery & Customer Success teams to qualify, validate and close commercial transactions
  • Manage the customer renewal process in a timely and proactive manner, using your commercial acumen to deliver against your retention and renewal targets
  • Work as a trusted advisor to your customers, ensuring that they understand and realise the value we deliver to their business
  • Develop a high-level knowledge of the portfolio of BuildData Group solutions and the wider construction industry to identify additional value opportunities within your account base
  • Take a solution-selling approach, aligning the BuildData Group portfolio with customer need
  • Ensure CRM (HubSpot) best practices are followed, and that data is always kept current and accurate
  • Maintain high forecast accuracy across your account base
  • Work closely with Head of Account Management to build action plans for complex opportunities and identify any support needed to see deals through to close

About You

​You’ll be excited by the opportunity to use the wealth of experience you’ve gained in Account Management to help the business grow through high retention and a “land and expand” approach. You’ll have experience managing a large pipeline of accounts in a complex software or construction environment.

You’ll be comfortable communicating via phone, email and face-to-face at all business levels, and be comfortable moving deals through the pipeline efficiently to close.

As an experienced Account Manager, you understand the importance of time management and prioritisation, ensuring your renewals, extensions and variations are handled in a timely manner, allowing you to focus on identifying upsell opportunities.

This role is offered on a hybrid working basis. In return, we're offering a competitive salary up to £46,000 plus 30% OTE commission, Life Assurance, Pension and Private Medical Insurance.
