Job description
Thorverton Stone are seeking to recruit permanent, full time Concrete Production Assistant to work at our site based near Upton Pyne, Exeter.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company working in the manufacturing of precast cast stone and concrete products.
Main duties include:
Operating in a busy production facility and working on a production line to ensure the timely and efficient manufacture of product, requiring enthusiastic applicants who enjoy working in a manufacturing environment and working as part of a team.
Due to the nature of the job some heavy lifting is required.
Applicants who have fork lift experience would be advantageous to the team.
Hours of work are:
07:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday including breaks.
Occasional Saturday mornings and overtime will be offered, as and when required, during busy periods.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
Competitive hourly rate of pay dependent on skills, knowledge and experience.
Start rate: £10.50 per hour - during initial 3 month training period.
£11 per hour - after successful initial training.
Holiday entitlement:
20 days plus statutory bank holidays.
No experience is needed, as full training will be provided - but we do need reliable, committed, hard-working candidates who can organise their own transport due to rural location.
