Project

We have a range of services in Surrey, to include outreach drug and alcohol support, counselling and mental health and wellbeing support services. Our support services range from prevention to crisis support and are positioned across community, primary and secondary care.

The Safe Haven portfolio includes 2 Safe Havens in Surrey (Guildford & Woking), 1 Safe Haven in North East Hampshire (Aldershot) and 1 Young Adult Safe Haven in Guildford. The safe haven service aims to reduce emotional and psychological distress by providing an alternative provision to attending A&E for anyone experiencing or at risk of escalating to a mental health crisis alongside any Carers. It is an out-of-hours provision open 6-11pm 365 days a years with additional opening times on weekends and Bank Holidays in Aldershot & Woking.

Purpose of Job

As a Service Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our out of hours mental health crisis prevention and support services. Ensuring that business, contract and operational needs are met.

The safe haven model is a partnership approach of community connections and statutory mental health providers and therefore you will manage key stakeholder relationships and work with partners in the delivery of services and support of your teams.

You will line manage, support and motivate teams to deliver quality and impactful interventions, resolving and responding to any issues and implementing any necessary changes. The workforce includes senior workers who support with on-call and Line Management, Safe Haven workers and Peer Support Workers with lived experience.

Part of this role includes participating in an on-call rota, ensuring you are able to respond to urgent calls, follow-up and report incidents during Safe Haven opening times.

Hours: 35 hours 12-8pm Monday – Friday This role also includes on-call provision 3 days a week until 11pm

(TOIL provided for standard on-call provision when not used)

(£17p/h for active on-call time if used between 8pm and 11pm)s.
