THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for providing assistance in the Production department. You will be assisting the Purchasing Officer, Production Manager and Shipping Manager to ensure the smooth production and packing of Robotic Camera and Motion Control equipment.
The right candidate for this role will have great organisational and prioritising skills, in order to effectively manage both Shipping and Purchasing tasks to strict deadlines.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Purchasing/ Production:
- Work with the Product Demand Tracking facility in Open ERP (Odoo)
- Picking stock items for Kits for Bill of Materials for production
- Assisting Stores Team as needed
- Assisting Production Manager with various tasks to assist the smooth running of Production
- Loading and driving parts and products for different suppliers in the local area
Shipping:
- Assisting in directing the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
- Inspect Labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders
- Escalate any shipping related issues to the Shipping Manager/ Production Manager
- Collaborate with purchasing, production and other managers to optimise orders
- Packing of items ready for Shipping, ensuring all paperwork is correctly completed
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience:
- Excellent computer skills including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Experience in a Production/ Manufacturing environment is an advantage
Professional Skills:
- Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- An understanding of the production process and the importance of parts being delivered on time
- Working knowledge of ERP or equivalent systems would be an advantage
- Understanding of logistics, the supply chain process, and/or export legislation would be an advantage
Personal Skills:
- Able to work in a physically demanding role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks at once
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving license is preferred

We are a robotics company doing some serious hardware and software engineering. By robots we mean 6+ axis robotic arms, large multi axis rigs and 2-3 Axis camera platforms. Our products are used globally in Broadcast studios, Stadiums, Movie Sets and Photography studios to capture motion and stills.
