H G Gladwell & Sons Ltd was established in 1912 and now manufactures and distributes a range of equestrian, wild birds, poultry and pet food and pet related goods, fishing baits and associated products. These finished products are in bags or boxes which weigh up to approximately 25 kg.
We are looking for a self motivated individual who is passionate about Fishing to join our production team.
Based at: Copdock Mill, Copdock, Ipswich, IP8 3LA.
Position reports into: Operations Director.
Hours: 07.30 to 17. 00 with a half hour paid break, and 2 unpaid 15 minute breaks, overtime to be agreed in advance.
Job Purpose: To work in our Fishing Bait Production department assisting with the manufacture, quality control and packing of various forms of Fishing Bait including;
Boilies, hook baits, liquids and particles.
No live products are used in our bait production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process orders for receipts of raw materials, consistently follow processing formulations for manufacturing of products and ensure full detail adherence to final packaging specifications.
- Ensure all established procedures are adhered to regarding Health & Safety, quality, housekeeping and good practice.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate and liaise verbally with co-workers, Team Leaders and managers to optimise department performance.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance.
Duties include but are not exclusive:
- Processing orders for delivery to customers.
- Operates a variety of packing and manufacturing equipment.
- Maintenance of hygiene in the department.
- Communicating with other departments as necessary.
Skills:
- Must be numerate and literate as you will be working from written instructions.
- Forklift truck certificate is desirable but not essential as training can be given.
- Excellent attention to detail is required.
- Ability to work under your own initiative is important.
Other Details:
- Own transport is essential as public transport is limited to site.
- Manufacturing experience is desirable.
- There will be a requirement to work in other departments as and when required.
