We have an exciting new opportunity and are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Production Administrator to join the team in our Drama department on a (Term Time Plus = 42 weeks) 40 hours per week, permanent basis. Flexibility is key as this position will include some evenings, some weekends and also trips.

About the role:

To assist with the efficient running of a very busy and successful performing arts programme through comprehensive administrative support to the Directors of Drama and Dance.
To support the Speech and Drama programme with effective administrative help from exam organization and stewarding to supporting the teachers in their day-to-day programme.

Key responsibilities (Please see JD for full requirements):

  • Assisting with the production of plays and shows: this might include assisting the co-ordination of costume, makeup and props student groups as well as assisting with any support for rehearsals as necessary. This might also include the ordering of scripts/scores for plays and musicals.
  • Assisting the Events team and Theatre and Technical Manager with the set up for ticketing
  • (TicketSolve) and event support (GWA and CLT) for plays, musicals and shows. This is also in conjunction with the music administrator.
  • Marketing of events through posters and other publicity as well as dealing with any social media content. Putting together programmes and organizing photos of casts.
  • Overseeing the day to day administration of the drama and dance departments in liaison with the Directors of Drama and Dance, particularly in respect of production assistance and admin.
  • Liaising with the Arts Administrator in linking with local schools and feeder schools and encouraging support for events at Matinee performances.
  • Being a point of contact with regards the Speech and Drama Centre, with parents, students and staff.
  • Assisting the Director of Drama with recruitment of Speech and Drama Department staff and in liaison with the Instrumental and Lamda Administrator, ensure all Speech and Drama teachers understand the processes of teaching at Wellington (all Speech and Drama teachers are self-employed) and understand the use of Socs (software used to organize and register lessons
