Job description
The Product Specialist - Banking Product will work within the EMEA Citi Global Wealth Banking and Custody team responsible for financial planning and management activities, product management and sales activties. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in financial planning , balance sheet management and product management. The role requires the candidate to work autonomously, negotiate and influence, and work with a wide group of stakeholders including Product Managers, Sales Managers, Product Head, Control Functions. Finance Teams and Treasury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support balance sheet management activities across Citi Global Wealth EMEA Deposits
- Participate and drive key finance reviews, such as but not limited to Beta reviews, GOT reviews and hedge reviews
- Support flash, forecasting & annual budgeting process
- Support senior management reviews including regional and global business reviews
- Pricing, product and client related analytics
- Support and at times act as delegate with Assets and Liabilities Committee
- Co-ordination with FP&A / Controller and Product Controllers on accuracy of financials
- Manage and simplify product economics analytics
- Train and develop product team to understand financial processes
- Support in various business projects and initiatives
- Co-ordinate across Citi Global Wealth teams
- Drive process improvements relating to liquidity value of deposits, LCR and RLAP
- Support legal entity financial management and booking model management
- Support product management activities
- Support with sales analytics & pipeline management
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Key Competencies
- Experience driving Financial Planning and Analysis
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative analysis, financial analysis across retail and investment banking products, performance analysis, developing data reporting, and analytics processes for financial services industry
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills
- High degree of professionalism
- Builds robust working relationships with clients and internal colleagues
- Strong written, listening & verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
