CSA Group has an opportunity for you to take on a Product Safety Engineer role in its Cleveland office. In this role, you will work on challenging projects to test and certify new and emerging products, anything from the most basic to complicated, before they hit the market!
CSA Group’s Graduate Development Program will provide you with the opportunity to gain the needed technical and project management skills required to become a Product Safety Engineer on any team you desire in our Cleveland office. The Product Safety Engineer role is critical to ensuring that our clients’ products comply with global and regional safety and performance standards; this allows our clients to sell their products around the world.

Responsibilities:
Be curious and eager to learn new technologies while applying basic electrical theory.
Be willing to think outside the box to apply efficient methods of doing different tasks related to testing and certification.
Work closely with a variety of Certification Managers to successfully complete training.
Manage certification projects with the assistance of a mentor ensuring compliance with all applicable safety requirements.
Evaluate products against requirements of the national standards and guidelines.
Job shadow Product Safety Engineers and Laboratory Technicians to meet training requirements.
Review test data/reports and show an understanding of technical requirements to support the application of the CSA Mark.
Compile subsequent certification reports.
Keep the Managers informed of project status as required, pointing out progress and findings.
Demonstrate the ability to correctly interpret the results from the tests.
Qualifications:
New or recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving ability.
Must be detail-oriented.
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work unsupervised, in a team-based work environment.
Must be self-motivated and client-service oriented.
