Job description
Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent almost a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Gunfinger, Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously!
As a forward thinking and innovative studio we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.
We are excited to continue to grow our team and are always on the lookout for highly talented and motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming and excited to join us on our ambitious journey!
The Role:
We are on the search for a highly motivated and versatile Product Owner to become the ‘go-to’ subject matter expert in relation to key areas of the product. In this role you will be a key member of our multidisciplinary creative Scrum team; working alongside developers to ensure product requirements are well understood and the team delivers great products.
This position will see you working closely with the Area Product Owner in order to help champion the overall vision and quality level of the pod’s feature; converting release goals into actionable sprint goals and user stories while being the development team’s first port of call.
In addition to your immediate team, you will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to assist in building the backlog of product features as well as working closely with the Producer in order to identify and mitigate the pod’s risks, issues and dependencies; ensuring a firm focus on the priority features and maintaining the highest of quality standards. You will be responsible for defining feature requirements around our customer facing web portal for a high-profile, high-end cross-platform game and therefore help to shape and define what success of the product looks like!
About you:
Possessing excellent organisation and process management skills, you will have the ability to communicate clearly, as well as influence and build team cohesion and morale; scheduling and hosting regular syncs and roadmap reviews, with confidence in presenting to both the immediate and wider team.
On top of this, you will also have experience of working in an Agile environment, with the ability to demonstrate excellence in defining product requirements though Sprint Goals, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
It would also be great if you have experience and/or an interest in Web3 experiences or technologies.
