To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Around 3-5 years’ experience working as a Product Owner within a consulting firm, industry or government organisation in the local market working as a Product Owner.
  • Demonstrable experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum framework preferred) - continuously reviewing the business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying opportunities and risks across sprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks including the development of relationships with Industry leaders and team members across all EY practices to serve client needs
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver key strategic programmes for our Consulting clients, ensuring service quality on one or more engagements at a time, leveraging your knowledge and sector experience to deliver Business and IT Transformations across organisations
  • Demonstratable experience in continuously refining and prioritising Product backlogs containing business value requirements and customer needs/pain-points
  • Knowledge of prioritising and making value creating decisions based on understanding business objectives and market conditions
  • Ability to learn a domain quickly and apply the skills of a product owner to that domain.
  • A strong academic record including a third level degree, or equivalent, preferably in an IT related area.
  • Experience operating in a fast paced, multi-vendor environment.
  • Have a clear understanding of Scrum and the roles and responsibilities of each member of the team
  • Experience facilitating ideation, discovery and/or requirement gathering workshops
  • The ability and experience to coordinate a cross functional Scrum team(s) to develop the clients’ requirements
  • Experience in participating Sprint ceremonies as per the Product Owner role
  • Experience managing a Product from Ideation to development to launch

  • People with excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
  • Candidates with strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience driving the ideation, design and sustainment of digital products and services
  • Experience setting and overseeing that the work generated by your team meets the team’s definition of done, to ensure the most valuable and proper functionality of the product is delivered
  • Experience translating product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories and acceptance test criteria
  • Experience leading the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology
  • Product Owner certification
  • Experience using agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps etc.
