JOB TITLE: Product Owner - Strategy and Industry Relationships
SALARY: £85,255 - £100,300 (London), £71,825-84,500 (outside London)
LOCATION(S): London, Edinburgh or Halifax
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our working style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

Where does the role sit?
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Channels Enabling Platform, where the Identity and Authentication Lab provides an enterprise level Authentication service. The Platform needs to meet the Strong Customer Authentication regulatory commitments, enable innovation to help lead into the bank of the future, and to trailblaze within the Industry. The Platform will support and grow a wide range of authenticators to serve the Bank’s digital channels.

Here’s how you’ll make a difference...
- Understanding and decoding all industry and customers trends to define and execute a holistic B-2-B-2-C product strategy for our platform as a service, with the goal is of releasing value for customers (internal and external). This strategy will help evolving our purpose and vision.
- Operating decisively within a complex environment to deliver high quality outputs and challenge the status quo, we're looking for you to develop a culture of innovation and collaboration, role modelling a customer-centric approach at all times.
- Creating an environment in which people bring out the best in themselves by providing autonomy and ensuring they feel safe to experiment.
What experience do you need to apply for this role...
- Experience in creating and galvanizing a team around a common vision and strategy which will be the essence of our platform product: what are the emerging customers and industry problems we need to address, what opportunities and threats are there for our platform and when it’s the right time to move, as well as what partnerships we should have in place.
- Ability to build and maintain networks with a diverse group of industry leaders and colleagues to influence and deliver the product roadmap and to build a team of teams environment across the bank. This requires prior experience working closely with leaders and executives to shape product and capabilities to be exploited to reach desired outcomes.
- Prior experience in working with external networks of FinTechs, Industry Bodies, Regulators and the wider Digital Transformation and Business community to source data and insights, understanding threats and opportunities.
- Ability to understand and decode trends that impact Financial Services and especially in the following areas: security, experience, regulation, fraud, competition environment, technology. The outcome of the analysis will be used to define a strategy that mitigate the risks and exploit our capabilities and skills at scale.
