Position
As one of our Digital Product Owners you'll play a key role to maximise the value our products create for our customers and for Open GI by helping to define the roadmap, priorities and clarity of the outcomes expected. You’ll also be helping to define new products in the ever-evolving Digital ecosystem.
Your key responsibilities
- Providing vision and voice of the customer advocacy for each product/feature
- Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritised backlog of user stories for implementation.
- Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams.
- Working with the scrum team to refine backlog items and plan individual sprints.
- Lead requirements gathering within the Scrum Team, based on the agreed product concept
- Play an active role during the various scrum ceremonies, clarifying the requirements and defining the sub tasks that need to be carried out to deliver the user story
- Document new features, demonstrate latest iteration of product during reviews, record and react to feedback
- Working closely with the scrum team to ensure all impediments are identified, recorded and removed.
- Collaborate with and manage communications to stakeholders
- Understands the estimation process and participates in this process as required
- Supports non tech teams within the business in relation to new projects
- Agrees acceptance criteria for work requests with the team
- Negotiating priorities with stakeholders ensuring high value deliverables are identified and progressed to a high level of quality.
- Work with the marketing function to ensure coverage and awareness of product is maximized
Requirements
Experience and Skills
- Excellent knowledge of agile scrum methodology and practices
- Ability to take ownership and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile B2B SWH
- Adaptive and strong team player
- Excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience of working in pressured environment to strict deadlines
- Experience with DevOps or JIRA
