Your new role at NewDay

As part of the fast-growing product team, you’ll drive and be a shining example of Product excellence within NewDay Cards. Reporting to the Product Manager and supporting the other product owners – you’ll craft the future of NewDay’s API platform – building premier API services. By taking the visions and goals of the Commercial and Technical teams, you’ll give our teams the clarity to develop, adapt and innovate at speed – while maintaining our high standard of quality and agile practice.
You’ll educate, advise and inspire the wider Digital team directly though contributions such as – but not limited to - writing for our Blog, presenting on technical topics and mentorship.

0-12 months you'll deliver

    The Platform product set for your team, implementing new platform capability, from capturing requirements through to delivery.
    Pushing the boundaries of innovative experiences across our digital spaces, working with teams to structure the overall Collections product roadmap, as well as being responsible for the product roadmap.
    Product capabilities against business strategic agenda and service performance goals.
    A product built scale and configure, constructed within the guard rails of regulations where applicable.
    Reporting progress, risks, issues and plans to NewDay leadership teams. Efficiently influencing external partners to ensure initiatives in their domains are delivered to high quality, on time and within budgets. Turning the dial on product success metrics and Digital key performance indicators.
    Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, refinement/ planning sessions, retrospectives, and Show & Tells.
    Content to our Engineering and Product community (internal and external) to champion a culture of learning, growing and innovation.

What you'll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

    Leading and empowering teams, bringing people together on a positive journey.
    Collaboration; able to arbitrate ambitious, sometimes conflicting priorities.
    Successful and timely delivery of product roadmap.
    Strong technical skills, working predominately with APIs and Cloud Services.
    Simplifying sophisticated business processes and breaking them into meaningful user stories.
    Appreciating and pre-empting the risk and impact of changes across multi products and overall business.
    Attention to detail is a must-have, with full end to end accountability of digital delivery from requirements, development, shift left, deployment and monitoring.
