Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00 (37.5 hours)

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join a market-leading telecommunications company and join our growing company. As a Product Owner, you will join our driven and successful Product team to deliver the best products to market. You will be responsible collating knowledge from a variety of sources including industry trends, new technologies, customer requirements, business objective and competitors to develop a considered product strategy and maximise the success of our products.

You will work alongside Product Designers and Development to generate detailed user stories, ensuring that agreed stakeholder objectives are met whilst overseeing the entire product development cycle.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product team (UI/UX, Product Management) and other stakeholders (Sales, Service Desk, Customers) to extract business and user requirements for our products.
  • Manage the Product backlog, taking into consideration the changing needs of the market and business ensuing that the correct features are delivered when needed whilst maximising value.
  • Creating user stories based on the backlog items using Jira which are then passed onto the development teams.
  • Interacting with the development teams on a daily basis, identifying and removing any blockers that they encounter.
  • Take new products and features from initial concepts all the way through to release.
  • Be the subject matter expert on the Products that you are responsible for.
  • Define and deliver MVPs for new products, testing new concepts to determine the value of future changes.
  • Perform high-level user acceptance testing to ensure that only the highest quality product is being provided to our customers.

We Require you to have:

  • Knowledge of the Product Development Lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Agile working methodologies
  • Keen interest in all things technology
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2 years’ experience within the Product space
  • Self-starter with the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels both externally and internally
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good presentation and influencing skills

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience in the Telecoms sector
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Jira platform
  • Degree in a Business discipline
