We support an extensive range of Capital Markets products and services including Fixed Income (FX, Rates, Credit, Muni, Cash and Derivatives) where Citi is consistently a dominant top 3 player in the market, Equity (Cash, Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Futures, Listed and OTC Derivatives, FXPB) where Citi has a significant growth program to continue to build out its capabilities and services; and Syndicates where we support both FI and EQ new issues and IPOs. We play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first-class experience in service performance and strategic partnership.

This individual contributor role is responsible for the vision and roadmap for X-Asset Trade Confirmation. The role is required to collaborate with Markets Operations to evaluate current and drive future state for next generation Cross Asset Confirmation platform. The next gen confirmation product is expected to drive innovative solutions leading to increased levels of controls, productivity, and service for our internal and external clients. Markets Operations Technology is going through major transformation due to regulatory and strategic direction; the role will be instrumental in driving a culture of operational excellence and accountability.
The Technology Product Owner is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function.
Responsibilities:
Leads the working backwards documents for a platform product release
Uses or commissions research, studies and focus groups to identify best-of-breed benchmarks for solving business problems
Identifies innovations and leads “test and learn” experiments to create platform products that increase customer value
Defines and measures the KPIs for a platform product
Is able to make trade-off decisions on multiple platform products in a portfolio
Develops business and platform requirements for either one platform component of a large platform product or a narrow product
Leverages tools such as Ignite for reusability of APIs and platform services
Determines release goals for a narrow platform product or a component of a large product
Identifies best practices for continuous product development improvement
Defines and leads new product constructs (e.g. moonshots) by working across teams and products
Understands company-wide assets and is able to align leadership of dependent teams on necessary structural and/or resource changes to deliver efficiencies
Consult with juniors on design reviews, product requirements, and acceptance criteria
Prioritizes and implements best practices for improved product development efficiency and quality
Formalizes best practices into broader frameworks and evangelizes with other Citi teams
Qualifications:
Relevant experience in a product line management, e-commerce, and/or strategic planning role.
Significant experience building complex business and/or transactional models.
Has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products / services in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly.
Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
