National Express has an exciting opportunity for a Product Operations Assistant to join our team in Leicester as we grow our regional coach day trip and holiday programmes throughout the rest of the UK. .
In this role you will provide a wide range of administration activities to support the efficient and effective day to day running and delivery of the Product Operations department.
What you’ll do...
- Build relationships with existing and new taxi operators within our pickup locations.
- Successfully manage relationships with depots and drivers to achieve and exceed what we need to deliver.
- Find simple, smart and innovative ways to improve how we work for the benefit of our customers.
- Allocate, plan and time customers’ home pickups within our internal system whilst fulfilling taxi bookings and requirements for these customers.
- Reacting to operational situations, assisting with rapid responses to avert or resolve problems.
- Be able to successfully maintain the balance between Product/Operations’ expectations alongside delivery and utilisation.
- Be able to build trust and work together as one team across the UK to deliver the ultimate overall goal and service to our customers and the business.
- Monitor, maintain and complete the holiday To Do list spreadsheet including completing rooming lists, hotel and attraction checks, home pickup times, completing feeder information for drivers.
- Creation and sending out of customer ticket packs in advance of each tour departure.
- Prepare driver information packs in advance of each departure.
What you’ll need…
- Flexible approach to working hours will be required
- Experience of managing a company's relationships with its suppliers and/or customers.
- Excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to develop and retain excellent product knowledge.
- Good time management, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and focused on accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite.
- Experience of working within travel/leisure would be beneficial but is not essential
- Must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision, with a problem-solving attitude
