Job Title: Associate Product Manager, Footwear (Global TNF)
As an Associate Product Manager, Footwear, you will partner with Design and Development, as well as Regional Merchandising, Sales and Marketing to bring best in class Product to Market for your category. You will develop seasonal product initiatives and assortments that meet revenue targets/financial metrics and deliver on the brand vision and strategy, as well as marketplace segmentation needs. Under the direction of the Sr Product Manager, this role is accountable for the ensuring that the Global assortment answers regional needs while driving for a cohesive global assortment that best represents The North Face brand. This role will be asked to lead with a first to market mindset and a passion for innovation and will be relied on to ensure the value proposition for the category is being upheld while maintaining brand DNA.
How You Will Make A Difference
- Under the Sr Product Manager’s leadership, support on delivering Product Creation strategy that drives strategic growth and revenue for the assigned category.
- Gather consumer insights, market research, and interpret opportunities (competitive analysis/comps shops) to translate into Seasonal initiatives and Product briefs.
- In partnership w/ Sr Product Manager, build seasonal Global assortment plans and reconcile Global assortment with regional merchandising financial plans at key milestones to ensure alignment.
- Work closely w/ Design and Product Development partners to drive an operationally excellent product creation effort, ensuring protos are executed well and on time.
- Participate in and present content at key Product Creation milestones in front of cross-functional audience.
- Partner w/ Global Merchandising and Planning teams to develop product lifecycle plans and meet / exceed Margin targets for assigned category.
- Participate in the cross functional Go-To-Market work stream, ensuring seasonal vision is brought to life in store and online with Retail and Marketing partners.
- Inspire confidence across the brand, demonstrating expertise on category, consumer, and market.

- Participate in Preseason meetings with targeted strategic accounts / Direct to Consumer.
- Participate in and Assist Regional Teams in Sales Meeting Presentations
- 1+ year in product creation/merchandising/development/retail buying.
- 1+ year management experience and success w/ cross functional partnerships.
- Experience with Product in the Athletic or Outdoor industry.
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Arts: Merchandising, Product Management, or Business Preferred or equivalent combination of years of experience and education.
- Computer/Software Applications: Microsoft Office Suite. Adobe illustrator a plus.

- Ability to understand consumers’ needs and mindset, identify opportunities and translate into product briefs that offer a strong POV against identified competitors.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
