We are looking to recruit 3 Cognitive Behavioural Therapists to work in the Adult Community Mental Health Teams. As part of the transformation & the trusts commitment to increase psychological provision across Doncaster this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working in secondary mental health services. You will be joining a vibrant, supportive team of well-established Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists & Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners. We have a strong leadership team comprising of Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Principal Clinical Psychologist & Lead Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who are able to offer supervision, support & professional development.
Although the vacancies are based in the East, North & South Teams, CBT therapists work across all Doncaster locality teams within secondary mental health with a centralised waiting list & shared groups. The post holder will be committed to the principles of recovery, trauma informed approaches and multi-disciplinary team working and will be working with individuals across all disorders which can include affective disorders, anxiety disorders and personality disorders and psychosis, eating disorders and trauma. Additional training & supervision will be available where appropriate to work across disorders & on specific pathways, for example CBT top ups for personality disorder, eating disorder, EMDR , SCM & DBT.
We will accept applications from those who meet the essential criteria as per the job description and are accredited or accreditable with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP). We will also consider applications from trainee CBT therapists on a post graduate Diploma and BABCP accreditable course that are due to qualify – and will offer supervision to support the provisional accreditation period post qualification
We are looking for a candidate with good interpersonal skills and clinical skills, as well as being a responsive and motivated team player. A key role will be carrying out mental health and CBT based psychological assessments, developing formulations and implementing evidence-based interventions in line with NICE guidance, and the clinical pathways. You will be expected to provide individual and CBT based group work and have a role in the development and supervision of non-psychological staff’s ability to deliver CBT informed interventions within the community mental health team.
The successful candidate will receive regular management supervision from the Team Manager and 1:1 and group clinical supervision.
