POSITION OVERVIEW
Routeware is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Product Manager for our In-Cab Technology product line, including in-cab tablets for waste collectors and the software that powers our Smart Truck features (e.g. actuator sensors, RFID, and video systems). In this pivotal role, you will develop and enhance these products to meet the evolving needs of our customers in the waste industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Engage with customers and users to understand their needs and preferences.
- Use data analytics tools to understand user interaction with the product.
- Maintain and communicate product vision and value to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Stay updated on market trends and competitors in the waste industry and related technologies.
- Collaborate with multiple departments within Routeware to ensure product alignment with the company's strategic direction.
- Execute effective product discovery techniques to identify customer pain points and unmet needs.
- Use product optimization techniques to improve product features and performance based on user feedback.
- Coordinate with engineering, marketing, and other teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Effectively manage the product backlog to prioritize the most impactful tasks.
- Foster a respectful and cooperative relationship with the product team, including developers and designers.
- Establish mutual trust with stakeholders and address their concerns effectively.
- Effectively communicate the product vision and strategy to inspire the product team and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5+ years as a Product Manager or similar role in a B2B SaaS business.
- Proficiency in using data analytics tools to inform product decisions.
- Ability to apply industry knowledge to make informed product decisions (experience in the waste industry is preferred).
- Experience coordinating with multiple departments within a company.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and work effectively with different teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of product optimization techniques (A/B testing, etc.)
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Ability to adapt to new processes and changes in development, team structure, or company strategy.
