Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Product Manager
Locations: Slough, UK
Salary: £80,000-£100,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Hybrid Working- 50% Hub Site/Home Office
In this new role, we are looking for a Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Product Manager. You will own the day-to-day activities related to the PPM solution design (process and tech) to ensure the functionality is providing business value and working as expected. You will manage the product roadmap for all supported solutions. You will create a solution design to integrate the business process and the technology platform. You will manage the product backlog and oversee the development/delivery of work produced by a 3rd party vendor.

What will be your key responsibilities?
- Manage the backlog to ensure prioritization satisfies the needs of the user as well as the need of the platform owner.
- Clearly communicate with internal and external customers to set the timing and functional expectations of product improvements and technical roadmaps.
- Represent an independent voice with IT and business colleagues.
- Understanding of technology and how it can be used to improve processes and services.
- Support and help communicate the overall product vision, define scope, prioritize, and manage backlog, establish goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes for updating, and upgrading technologies.
- Ability to explain and present technical information to non-experts and advise/guide users in the use of systems.
- Partner with stakeholders and project team to validate requirements; work with business stakeholders to review and resolve issues.
- Partner with MGS Business Change COE on methodologies and frameworks and further breaks those methodologies downs into operational processes which the systems are built upon.
- Act as a point of escalation for unresolved managed services issues and review managed services support to ensure SLA/services are being performed as expected.
- Ensure 3rd party financials are booked properly every period.
- Owns the day-to-day activities related to the PPM solution design (process and tech) to ensure the functionality is providing business value and working as expected.
- Manage product roadmap for all supported solutions.
- Solution design to integrate business processes and the technology platform.
- Manages the product backlog and oversees the development/delivery of work produced by 3rd party vendors.
- Solution governance: - Triage impacts of enhancement/change requests across the platform. Oversee 3rd party vendor for; Work prioritization, Issue escalation and oversight, and testing of completed technical changes.
