As Operations Support Manager, you will effectively lead an integrated production team & manage processes towards successful delivery of customer demands. You will hold full accountability for the performance and continuous improvement of both the production system and their indirect support functions, whilst implementing strategic plans linked to the Operational Balance Scorecard.
Key Responsibilities & Duties;
- Deploy operational strategy in line with business objectives, goals and customer requirements.
- Accountable for delivery against key performance indicators identified through the balance scored card framework.
- Promote, lead and empower an environment of continuous improvement.
- Lead and build effective relations with internal and external customers.
- Promote standard work linked to that of the common goal.
- Overall accountability for the supporting functions to achieve customer requirements.
- Accurate forecasting and delivery upon set budgets.
- Monitor and report on budgets and targets.
- Manage, allocate, evaluate a cross functional team in order to optimise operational resource.
- Promote, maintain and build on the Company standards and values with the view to develop and improve upon them.
- Accountable for the safety standards and governance within the operational areas.
- Management of the production system from input to output.
- Manage and control capacity in line with customer demands.
- Monitor and maintain the production system to ensure the optimization of quality, cost and delivery.
- Develop direct teams and individuals in line with the business requirements. Improving skill sets and competencies that are required in order to meet customer demands
Job requirements
- Previous experience of leading a team within a high density business
- Sound knowledge of lean and problem solving tools, operating procedures, quality methodologies & techniques with sound knowledge of lean and problem solving tools
- A good academic standard of education or previous experience gained in a similar or related manufacturing environment
- Previous experience of leading a team within a high density business
- Demonstrable experience of driving a culture of lean and continuous improvement
- Familiar user of Microsoft packages, BaaN or associated software, EZLM.
- Comfortable in reading engineering drawings
- Change Management & Risk Management experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyse information with a high attention to detail
- Able to build strong working relationships
- Displays energy and enthusiasm in improvement ways of working

Specificity of the job
