As a member of Credit’s Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy and roadmap for Credit, and drive delivery of new features and capability. Partnering across the Credit Senior Leadership team, you’ll define and deliver the strategic plan for Credit. You’ll lead processes to identify, size and prioritize new Credit features and functionality that customers will love, and unlock commercial value. You’ll partner with Currys stakeholders and our banking partners, to build and launch new functionality. In parallel, you’ll deliver a rhythm of continuous improvement, to unlock value from Credit.
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Using customer and market insight, shape and maintain the overall strategy, and supporting strategic plan, for Credit- Actively engage in the embedded finance sector and external market, identifying emerging trends, best in class offers and prospective partners, to unlock opportunities for Credit
- Identify, size and coordinate the prioritisation of new credit features and functionality, to unlock profitable growth of our Credit product
- Leading on securing ongoing investment in Credit (from Currys and our banking partners), developing strong business cases, and demonstrating benefits realisation
- Developing and overseeing the common change backlog for Credit, aligned to approved Credit strategy
- Overseeing delivery of our transformation agenda
- Taking accountability for the Credit customer journey e2e, overseeing and aligning individual changes, to ensure a coherent e2e customer experience is maintained
- Leading, developing and coaching direct and extended virtual team, ensuring Credit remains a great place to work
Key skills & experience required:
Experience developing clear, compelling business unit strategies, and securing buy in across a highly matrixed organisation, and with external partners- Experience developing product and proposition strategy, and taking products from discovery through development to delivery
- Innovative thinker - able to apply strong understanding of socio-economic dynamics, market trends and customer behaviours to optimise Credit offer
- Track record of leading change delivery at scale
- Understanding of UK consumer credit market, including regulatory requirements, market trends and commercial drivers, is desirable
- Proven leader, with the ability to motivate and secure buy in across a highly matrixed organisation, and to develop and coach a direct team to deliver outstanding results
