Product Manager - Engagement - Remote
Ancestry is looking for a Product Manager to drive customer engagement with our Family History and DNA product lines. Engagement channels include targeted email campaigns and accompanying landing page experiences, and onsite and push notifications. You must be highly analytical, passionate about delivering high quality customer engagement experiences, and energized by working closely with smart, talented, fun-loving, execution-focused teammates in a highly interactive environment. You will lead by using analytics data and research to identify opportunities that will drive engagement with our products, developing end-to-end experiences for these experiences, and measuring the effectiveness of your ideas via AB testing.
What you will do:
Partner with product and email marketing team to formulate engagement strategy and align strategy with leadership
Develop personalized, highly targeted and compelling engagement experiences across our product emails and notifications to drive customer engagement with our products based on a deep understanding of customer data, needs, and behaviors
Design and drive your product engagement roadmap. Juggle tradeoffs and understand constraints, finding elegant solutions to complex problems. Continually identify and implement improvements based on ongoing customer research, market/competitive analysis, and product performance indicators
Work tightly with product, engineering, CRM, data science, design, legal, and content teams to identify, develop and swiftly deliver customer delighting engagement experiences
Dig deep into product performance and customer trends with data science, product analytics and customer research to gain insights that inform which engagement experiences to test; learn quickly from quantitative and qualitative feedback; iterate approach with urgency based on learnings
Implement A/B testing to help strategize and improve the performance of notifications, and product email campaigns
Use existing segments and build new list pulls for engagement experiences using data from data warehouse. Partner with marketing and developer team for additional custom target audience criteria
Provide analysis of engagement AB test results and recommendations for improving their efficiency
Who you are:
3-5 years of B2C experience with a focus on developing experiences that drive customer engagement from scratch
Bachelor’s degree; STEM/computer science background a plus
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, CRM, engineering, data science, content, legal to develop high-quality engagement experiences
Self-starter and able to work well with individuals at all levels and across functions
Execution-oriented and highly organized
Proficient in agile product development methodologies.
Demonstrated experience in A/B testing and Multivariate Testing.
Analytical, with ability to make product feature decisions using both quantitative and qualitative data.
Experience crafting a product strategy and vision, and translating that into an agile & iterative product roadmap.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with customers, peers, colleagues, and executives.

As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity. We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $68,000 - $226,000 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision. The actual salary will vary by geographic region and job experience. We will share detailed compensation data for a specific location during the recruiting process.
