Job Description
Metaprise is seeking a Product Manager (API) to be based in our London office where he/she will manage the end-to-end product lifecycle and take ownership of our innovative, client-focused product. There will essentially be a team built around you and you’ll work closely with the Tech and Success team and have the opportunity to engage directly with our CEO and VPs. The ideal candidate will have a strong consultancy background, extensive product team management experience and an understanding of fintech principles.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the process workflow for all activities, from the work request stage to closing.
  • Influence key stakeholders and establish relationships across the business ranging from subject matter experts through to C-level.
  • Combine client insight with an understanding of the financial, risk and operational underpinnings of the product to recommend propositions that solve client problems in a profitable way.
  • Define the product team’s landscape from the ground up.
  • Lead the growing team of Business Analysts, Product Owners and junior Product Owners prioritising your own workload and the workload of your direct reports to deliver outputs on-time and to quality.
  • Undertake commercial management for your products, building a strong understanding of drivers of financial performance, developing accurate forecasts working with channel and finance stakeholders.
  • Partner with product domains to drive cross-functional initiatives and leverage all aspects of the Metaprise product suite.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership up to C-Level, design and engineering teams to bring our products to reality taking them from ideation to delivery on a global scale.
  • Efficiently lead new product launches, feature enhancements and manage user feedback.
  • Communicate with project teams and assign tasks.
  • Assess the strategic and technical impact of projects.


Requirements

What You’ll Bring


Essential
  • A minimum of five years of product experience in a professional remit, with a primary focus API.
  • A working knowledge of the full range of business disciplines e.g., Compliance, Operations, Service, Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, HR, and Risk.
  • Experience in leading a Product team (direct reports).
  • A deep knowledge of product lifecycle discipline and E2E processes along with proven track record of owning and delivering projects and/or initiatives.
  • An understanding of eCommerce solutions for payment facilitators, independent software vendors, and marketplace operators.
  • Independent product design experience in completing several complex/big-budget projects.
  • An overall understanding of user requirements, target markets, and competitive landscapes.
  • An in-depth understanding of existing and future banking/finance industry trends.
  • The ability to communicate with various stakeholders (clients, project managers/owners).
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with global product, tech and finance teams (US, EMEA, Southeast Asia).
  • Excellent communicative skills.
  • Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Desirable

  • Digital transformation-related product experience.
  • Proficiency in app development and UI/interface design.
  • Proficiency in PRD.
  • Experience with creating zero-to-one product utilising data and massive metrics you’ve impacted on previous products.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to get support of stakeholders with differing objectives and motivations.
  • Ability to put across complex ideas succinctly to senior forums.
  • An extensive understanding of regulatory compliance in a financial capacity.
