Job description
We are AMS. Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients’ recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.
Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence.
At present we are looking for a number of Product Make technicians to work on our client’s site in Derby on an initial 12-month contract.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver production blades to meet the committed requirements to the prescribed manufacturing process. This will ensure the HP Turning blades facility maximises its contribution to the success of Turbine Systems and exceeds customer expectations.
- Be Flexible to operate the manufacturing process as defined for production components.
- Support Machine tools to ensure they continue to op-rate as effectively and efficiently.
- Manage cell workflow to ensure the Karban systems is operated as designed and parts are produced to the required schedule.
- Inspect output from the cells and respond to any errors in an appropriate manner to the defined process.
- Perform team leadership tasks when required.
- Ensure cell working environment is maintained in the optimum condition.
- Work as part of a team and always take responsibility for quality products.
- Delivery of high-pressure turbine blades.
- Machining / inspection / welding of high-pressure turbine blades.
- Running CNC / EDM / Grinding Machines with Inspection as well.
Key Skills and experience required (E.G skilled or unskilled)
- Semi-Skilled Role
- Experience in Inspection
- Experience in Running CNC / EDM / Grinding Machines
- Attention to detail
- Ideally Aero Space or Manufacturing Background
