Pay Rate: £30, 000.00 - £32, 000.00 (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7, Rotating 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm
Location: Livingston - EH54 8AS
DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- To directly assist Management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area.
- To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, always maintaining standards of excellence.
- Responsible for Health and Safety and welfare of colleagues across the Warehouse operation.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Previous and practical experience in a supervisory/management role within a logistics environment.
- Working in a chilled storage environment is desirable, but not essential.
- Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders.
- Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports.
