We are looking for a Product Development Assistant to join our Pre-Production team.
The role:
In this role you will assist in the development of categories of the Men’s and Women’s Leather Goods collections. Ensure the timely development and delivery of the range from prototype development through to production, in line with the critical path.
You will take responsibility for the accurate bulk and production Bill Of Materials (BOM) completion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the Pre-Production Component Developer and Junior Raw Materials Technologist for the maintenance of the Raw Materials library on Prima PD.
· Liaise with the Design Team for the compilation of the BOM on Prima PD with constructional items and amend BOMs as required during development to ensure it accurately represents all components required to manufacture.
· Use technical experience to select suitable colour and tonal information with the Design Team for all accessories to order to successfully complete all BOMs.
· Create and maintain purchase orders for Capsule collections.
· Take responsibility of UPS shipments for Pre-Production samples and transfer of stock on Prima Order Management.
· Manage the wearer tests on products to ensure they perform to Mulberry strict quality standards
· Build up the Product Specification Sheets (PSS) with constructional items, amend PSS as required during development to ensure it accurately represents all components required to manufacture.
· Assist the Quality Team in the sign off of seal samples and spec requirements to effectively deliver production to the correct standard.

Skills and Knowledge Required:
· Experience in the leather accessory industry within a technical discipline
· Knowledge of Prima PD computer program or similar ERP system.
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
· Proven ability in producing accurate work with attention to detail
· Ability to keep calm under pressure, always retaining a friendly and positive can-do attitude.
· Adaptable: can adopt a flexible approach to work and adapt quickly and effectively to unexpected changes whilst ensuring objectives are met, particularly to cater for peaks in business demands.
