Job Overview
Arolytics is looking for a UX Product Designer to join our fast growing team, 1-2 years of experience and who enjoys working in a fast paced 0-1 startup landscape.
The ideal candidate is able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, and translate customer research findings into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
The ideal candidate has 2 years minimum UX Product Design, working closely with a cross functional team, and can prove to have successfully delivered on Product Goals in a B2B SaaS environment. It's considered a strong asset if the candidate has experience in the emissions management industry or has worked on technical B2B SaaS Products.
We’re a remote working company, but preference would be given to candidates living in the Calgary, AB area.
Objectives of the Role
The UX Product Designer will be responsible for all things UX Design, including:
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
- Able to apply ruthless prioritization in your thinking and design work.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
- Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma is a must have.
- Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of designing complicated solutions.
- A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
- A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
- Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
Working Conditions
We are hiring Canada-wide, with preference for employees close to Calgary, AB. This is a hybrid position - both remote (home office) and downtown Calgary office-based.
