ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
The Product Data Analyst role is an integral part of Analytics strategy and digital transformation agenda.
This is a business focused role, that delivers reports, dashboards, enabling self-service analytics, quick access to insights to advise strategic decision across organisation.
What is the direct impact of this role on the organisation?
Through supporting delivery and development of analytics solution, you will enable business transformation in how data is used to advise decisions, through connected data solutions driving business outcomes. You will enable insights at speed, self-service analytics, and regular access to real-time data.
Quality of those decisions is based on quality of our data, therefore you also will be involved in driving Continuous Improvement agenda, by facilitating data project, delivering simplification, improving data quality, and reducing data maintenance inefficiencies across product community.
What you will be accountable for
- Supporting delivery, development, and maintenance of analytics solutions (e.g., reports, dashboards, customized insights), including mapping business to technical requirements, validating and signing-off build’ documentation
- Supporting or developing POC as part of technical feasibility assessment
- Supporting 3rd party Supplier during functional analysis and development of the solution
- Maintenance of the solution, as result of business requirements changes, data source changes, and other, to ensure its sustainability and viability
- Delivery of continuous improvement projects in data, including planning, prioritisation, time management, peers and partners management, problem solving, and post implementation review (PIR) of projects
- Facilitating multi-functional and cross-regional project’s meetings
- Communication of projects’ findings as recommendations to senior partners
- Continuous improvement of reporting, dashboards, tools and processes to improve quality and accelerate way we make decisions
- Providing training and facilitating Product BI (A4O) reports’ developments, and resolution of reporting issues as Global Point of Contact for Product BI reports
Essential experience, skills, and knowledge
- Experience working with sophisticated / large data sets, reporting and analytics
- Educated to a degree of computer related field (e.g., computer science, business information technology)
- Intermediate level in Dataiku, Alteryx, PowerBi or similar
- Strong analytical capabilities and approach to problem solving, data-driven thinking, good attention to detail and ability to transform data into insights
- Experienced in project management with good influencing and facilitation skills, has confidence to challenge
- Ability to navigate in ambiguous environment and take inquisitive decision
- Constant desire to learn, seeking new insights and knowledge
- Resilient, adapts and accepts change, enjoys working in a constantly evolving environment
- Explores faster ways to do things and drives simplification
- Proactive, hard-working, and innovative - delivers the right outcomes for the team and the business
- Sophisticated in Microsoft Office
- Very good verbal and written English - with the ability to articulate issues, risks, impact, and recommendations
Beneficial experience, skills, and knowledge
- Good understanding of product data and recipes structures in SAP terms (Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) and Recipe Development (RD) modules), and its correlation to other parts of business data
- Good degree of system and software literacy such as: SAP ECC, SAP BW / BI (Analysis for Office), Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Power Automate, Alation, SAPBW BI reports A4O
