The role
We are looking for an experienced Apparel Product Compliance Coordinator to join our passionate and agile team based in our Manchester Head Offices; supporting the Group Business across all 13 Boohoo Brands.
To work within the Product Compliance team, supporting and developing our global supply base in ensuring all products are compliant and meet Boohoo’s quality standards, identifying risk across all product categories and supply chain.
To work within the wider Responsible Sourcing department, engaging with all key stakeholders in the business to ensure that our supply base is fit for purpose and supporting business growth. Working closely and collaboratively with all Product Teams.
What you'll be doing
- Monitoring, evaluating & reporting on supplier testing. Reporting any testing failures to the business & supply base
- Ensuring all products are tested & comply to both Boohoo’s standards & legal requirements
- Managing initial supplier Product Compliance queries
- Hands on management of our own internal due-diligence testing program. Identifying risks & supporting suppliers in understanding root causes. Arranging both in-house & third-party product testing
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to create mutually profitable working relationships, whilst continuously improving Supplier Product Compliance and Quality
- Reviewing supplier performance, through AQL, returns & testing data. Agreeing CAPs & keeping track of ongoing improvement
- Supporting the buying teams on safety & compliance issues whilst helping driving product quality & performance
- Resolving any Product Compliance issues in a timely manner & supporting our customer service team with technical expertise
- A key stakeholder in the ongoing development of the Supplier Manual, working with third parties to keep abreast of Global changes to legislation
- Working closely with nominated third party testing partners
- Supporting the delivery of our online testing portal
- Identifying both internal & external training requirements. Supporting the team to deliver presentations & workshops
- Support a culture of continuous improvement in our processes and customer satisfaction
More about you
Essential
- Experienced in Apparel Product
- Experience in TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification sector)
- A good knowledge of quality processes & manufacturing
- A proven record of managing supplier performance & building key relationships
Desirable
- Experience in global testing legislation, both REACH & Prop 65
- The ability to analyse and interpret information
- An appetite for continuous improvement and driven by results
- Experience in working with suppliers both UK & international
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence
- Experience at working to deadlines
- Multi-Product experience is preferred
- Confidence in excel & reporting
UK & Overseas travel required
