About the Team
The Global Procurement Team plays a critical role in the business and is responsible for the strategy design and end-to-end processes involved in the purchase of goods and services in a sustainable and financially viable way in compliance with business standards.
The Global Procurement Team is responsible for sourcing and onboarding of new vendors, supporting the development of key company systems and processes, maintaining a strategic overview of project procurement management activities and ensuring that purchasing contracts and arrangements are fulfilled in strict accordance with legal requirements, project requirements, and business policies and procedures.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role within a growing regional Procurement function and in the context of a fast-paced environment in the tech/social media sector. All the Global Procurement Team and associated Centre of Excellence will support the onboarding of this new role and share best practices, procurement strategies, insights on compliance to deliver collectively as one Team.
The Procurement function at TikTok keeps developing and we regularly meet for workshops and trainings to share cross teams, cross countries and have full alignment as one Team.
Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders ranging from Real Estate, Facilities Management, Admin, Security, Environmental Health and Safety, Sales teams to support functions such as Legal, Internal Audit, Global Category managers to ensure project scope and timelines for implementation are achieved and in compliance with company requirements.
- Read, interpret, review and redline contracts.
- Promote Procurement best practices and preferred approaches for sourcing and contract management, with ample knowhow about present and future trends of market landscape of dedicated category realm.
- Responsible for preparing and coordinating RFx at the EMEA level for the related categories and supporting local in-country ad-hoc requirements.
- Support purchase request approvals and help requestors to complete acceptance and payment on time and based on Procurement KPIs.
- Be an ambassador of business policies and procurement guidance across the board.
- Implement and follow-up enhanced Vendor Management plan for strategic and critical vendors.
- Responsible for tracking savings and cost avoidance, dealing with financial planning and forecasting.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Procurement or related business disciplines
- Minimum 2+ years of solid procurement experience relevant to the following mix of categories: Real Estate, Construction and/or General Services; the ideal candidate worked within global environment and with multinational companies or social media/tech sector companies
- Collaborative stakeholder engagement including developed communication skills adaptable to various levels including senior management
- Developed negotiation ability, strong data analytical and logic reasoning ability
- Critical and active thinking to embrace challenges including prioritisation and change management skills.
- Understanding of contract law, preference for experiential knowledge of various types of contracts.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent)
- Preferably a fully qualified member of CIPS
