We’ll support you to become a fully qualified supply chain professional, as you support us to ensure that we’re spending wisely and obtaining great value for money for our organisation and our customers.
As a Degree Apprentice Procurement Officer within our Commercial team, we’ll support you through a five-year programme to develop the skills, knowledge and qualifications needed to ensure that our supply chain is robust, compliant and aligned to our strategic corporate aims.
Whilst you study for a BSc (Hons) Supply Chain degree at Coventry University, we’ll provide you with a broad range of opportunities to put your learning into practice - allowing you to gain hands-on experience as we develop you to be able to:
- Support tender processes for products and services - ensuring that our supply chain represents excellent value for money for our organisation and our customers.
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate contracts and agree commercial terms.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of suppliers, products, and services to ensure these meet contractual obligations and KPIs.
- Promote a first-class customer service, by providing timely and accurate commercial advice and supporting stakeholder engagement, ensuring a seamless, high-quality commercial service.
Having benefitted from a broad range of support, including guidance from seasoned industry professionals and our senior leadership team, your 5-year apprenticeship will culminate in you gaining sector leading experience, a recognised degree, and Chartered Supply Chain professional status with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) – the industry gold standard for supply chain and procurement professionals.
Our entry requirements? To be eligible to apply, you must have achieved:
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s graded 9-4 (A** to C), including English and Mathematics, and:
- Minimum 3 A-level graded C or above or equivalent qualification.
