Job description
As Procurement Manager you will lead the company’s sourcing of third party contractors within the Facilities Management Team. The Procurement Manager’s role is to manage the full tender process and identify service value to ensure the organisation are operating to appropriate industry standards.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Relationship Management
▪ Develop and maintain ethical and courteous relations with clients, occupants, landlords, and service partners.
▪ Meet with key partners regularly to share information, solicit input, and resolve issues
effectively.
Procurement
▪ Devise, design and create appropriate contractual Terms and Conditions to be used across the property portfolio.
▪ Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organisation partnerships.
▪ Strategic procurement including sourcing, selecting and negotiating with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
▪ Examine and test existing contracts.
▪ Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
▪ Collaborate with key persons/on-site teams to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
▪ Expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
▪ Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
Financial
▪ Develop, prepare and explain the annual supply budgets.
▪ Maintain records of expenditure and spending commitments, using appropriate technology provided.
▪ Work collaboratively to source local services and goods through third party suppliers with consideration to include Social Enterprise Companies.
▪ Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
Contractors
▪ To co-ordinate and develop a first class team with key service contractors.
▪ Hold progress monitoring meetings, at least quarterly, with key service contractors to monitor compliance with the contract scope of works and obligations.
Reporting
▪ Prepare ad hoc reports as required for issue to internal and external parties.
Health & Safety
▪ Ensure you are fully conversant with the organisations, Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) policies and any operational procedures made under these relevant to the role. Meet the responsibilities specified within this documentation as it relates to them.
▪ Ensure that appropriate risk assessments are carried out and managed as specified by policy using their documentation management system (Riskwise).
▪ Responsible for the care of the H&S of yourself and of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
▪ Represent the organisation so far as is necessary to enable the Company to always comply fully with its legal duties regarding health, safety, compliance and welfare matters.

Salary: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
