Are you looking to kick-start your career in procurement? If so, we are excited to be accepting applications for the role of Procurement Graduate. The role will be a flexible hybrid working model – which gives the opportunity to balance working with in an office and remotely during the week, with your head office base being Annesley, Nottinghamshire (NG15 0DR). There will be a requirement to travel throughout the UK occasionally.
The primary focus of the role will centre on supporting the delivery of strategic procurement initiatives across the Groups indirect goods and services categories. You’ll be required to help develop all centralised group procurement activity driving value, innovation, and efficiency across all areas of the business.
The successful candidate will gain experience of the end-to-end procurement cycle, from defining businesses requirements, analysing spend and management reports, conducting market and supplier research, through to building tenders and managing suppliers & contracts across a diverse range of categories.
We are passionate about development, and we are committed to supporting the successful candidate in gaining relevant CIPS training and qualifications to help develop their understanding and working practice within Procurement.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Providing meaningful insight using reports and dashboards to drive operational efficiencies and optimise our spend base
- Sourcing, compiling, and analysing information to support the decision-making process for Procurement projects and tenders
- Using reports to challenge spend (e.g., through leaked spend analysis, category spend analysis)
- Assist in managing a variety of diverse suppliers and holding regular account reviews
- Work collaboratively and support other central business functions with ad-hoc procurement tasks and projects
- Liaising and presenting to suppliers, internal departments, and senior management teams
- Undertaking analysis of spend, reviewing management information reports, preparing RFP & tender documents, submissions, and market analysis
- Liaising with the group’s legal department to ensure supply contracts and service level agreements achieve their specific business needs and that all group policies are met / adhered to
What do you need to be successful?
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint etc.
- Highly numerate, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data
- Excellent analysis and insight skills
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Self-starter with the drive to achieve success
