Procurement Assistant
Aylesbury (Hybrid)
Chiltern Railways operate between the West Midlands and London, providing journey options to Aylesbury, Oxford, Birmingham, Stratford-Upon-Avon and other destinations.
We are looking for an Procurement Assistant to join our busy and dynamic team. As a key member of the Chiltern Procurement Team your objectives are to build close working relationships with the procurement team and internal stakeholders driving performance across procurement ensuring there is consistency of process and output across the function. In this role you will be responsible for keeping procurement systems up to date to ensure compliance with both legal and compliance obligations.
Be an effective user of Purchase-To-Pay systems
Manage data input for the following tools: Supplier master data / Supplier onboarding / Savings tracker / Project plans and project trackers
Maintenance of policies and processes for both internal and external stakeholders
Compile reports for both internal and external stakeholders; Department For Transport, Executive team, savings trackers
Support business stakeholders in completing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) templates
Manage the process for spend approvals
Support the Procurement Operations Manager with gathering evidence for governance programmes
Maintain agendas for meetings and produce minutes
Management of the Procurement SharePoint site
Demonstrable evidence of working in a similar role within a complex firm or organisation
Experience working with stakeholders at all levels
Data and numbers driven
Focused on cost out and procurement
Strong demonstrable delivery against expectations
Communicates, both verbal and written, in a structured way
Travel will be required across the Chiltern network
