We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Procurement Manager at Hinkley Point C.
As a Procurement Manager you will be leading and contributing towards the day-to-day procurement activities of the site operation, expediting purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers and distributors. You will play a key role in supporting the Centralised Wilson James procurement team with implementation of the agreed Procurement Evolution Roadmap outputs, seeking to transform the procurement service to the business and support overall business strategy and targets. You will focus on delivering aligned and seamless service to the business and ensure that you manage supplier's performance and multiple KPI's. You will have strong communication skills and a natural ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Y

What do we need form you:
- Extensive experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
- A good standard of education in Maths, English and IT.
- Prior experience of working within a busy office environment and under pressure.
- Ability to manage own time effectively, prioritising tasks when required, multitasking and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of all MS Office packages.
- Strong written and verbal communications.
- CITB HSE Test (Manager & Professional standard).
- Ability to interact comfortably with blue and white collar.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
Desirable
- A working knowledge of SAP.
- A working knowledge of the construction industry.
- Member of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply or working towards.
Site Specific Information
- You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history required for vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
- You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
- The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
