The fastest growing boxing & strength concept in the world, UBX Training is a fitness franchise business co-founded by four-time world boxing champion, Danny Green, alongside Australian fitness and tech entrepreneur, Tim West. The brand first opened in Australia in 2016 and has since expanded rapidly, enjoying five years of continuous growth, with 92 clubs now open across Australia, New Zealand, and
Singapore. 2022 will see the brand launch in the UK and Ireland in partnership with Empowered Brands.
In 2021, Empowered Brands signed a Master Franchise License with UBX to become the exclusive operator of all UBX clubs across the UK and Ireland.
UBX’s unique boxing and strength training is non-contact and focuses on a mixture of bag work, pad work and strength training across a 12-round workout. In every workout, our members get 1 on 1 support from a UBX coach who advises on form and technique and ensures that the experience can work for people of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Primary Purpose
- A key member of the Empowered Brands support team, and accountable to the CFO, the
Procurement Manager will have responsibility for: o Management of Supply chain o Cost control and margin protection o Supplier contracts and ensuring SLA’s are met o Franchise liaison and customer service o Internal control of club openings within supply chain remit
The successful candidate will work very closely with finance and network of Business Development
Managers.
As Procurement Manager, you are primarily accountable for driving key revenue line for business, maintaining costs within budget and reporting to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the Senior Leadership team with establishing and delivering the Procurement strategy
- Support the introduction and onboarding of new products and new suppliers
- Support with new contract negotiations, commercials, due diligence and legals
- Upload product and pricing into system with full detail (eg warranties, lead time, shipping, taxes, variants, servicing etc)
- Communicate and market to network to enhance service and sales
- Day to day management of procurement function
- Process all franchisee orders through ecart (daily)
- Place supplier orders via PO (daily)
- Deal with ad hoc – shortages, out of stock, credits, refunds etc
- Close order when delivery has occurred.
- Maintain control of procurement inbox
- IT maintenance eg linkage of products, bundles, collections etc
- Maintain look and feel of product through visuals
- Maintain latest position on legals, supplier, policies terms etc
- Reporting on procurement KPI’s from ecart data (UK & Ireland)
- Facilitating of and support with quarterly supplier meetings and conferences
- Member of annual event project team to ensure sponsorship income generated
- Lease finance process management
- Maintain and enhance relationships with all 3rd parties (suppliers, contractors, finance houses)
