Hours: 35 per a week (agile working arrangements in place, we can be flexible on number of hours worked)

This role is designed to advance the postholder’s skills as a Health and Safety practitioner in a diverse and person focused environment. Starting from the candidate’s current experience, this role will involve mentorship and accredited certified training to develop towards the Health & Safety Advisor role competencies.

In this role you will be involved in building, enhancing, co-ordinating and supporting the Health and Safety Culture. You’ll help to establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, systems, communications, and training to ensure that all responsibilities associated with health & safety are adhered to. Playing a key role in the operational delivery and audit of health and safety, and supporting managers in their responsibilities within the health and safety culture.

We need people who have

  • Previous experience in operational H&S, either as your main duties or as part of wider responsibilities

  • Commitment to continuously develop and improve personal skills, competencies, and performance

  • Willingness to study and obtain a relevant H&S qualification (level 4 or above) as listed above

  • Knowledge of, or experience in the social housing sector is beneficial
