The data we generate provides our clients with the information they need to make critical, well informed, business decisions.



UTEC are looking to hire a Data Processor/Senior Data Processor on a full time, permanent basis. The Data Processors is responsible for the on-board processing and processing personnel, QC and management of all relevant acquired data including but not limited to hydrographic and/or bathymetric data, as well as the production of associated charts. The role is based offshore and will require local and international travel to support UTEC operations, periods of onshore support may also be required working either remotely or from UTEC offices / workshops.


Duties

  • Inspect the quality of raw data as soon as becomes available and notify online if not suitable for processing.
  • Review data processing workflow and adapt to project requirements if not suitable. All changes (once complete) will need to be recorded and verified by Data Manager or Project Manager onshore.
  • Process acquired data sets using the Company's selected processing software.
  • Ensure all processing/video logs are up to date and feedback progress to Party Chief on regular basis.
  • Mentor junior processors and their work and provide assistance if required.
  • QC dataset at each stage of processing sequence to ensure data integrity.
  • Discuss requirements and final deliverables with Party Chief on a regular basis to ensure process workflow is fit for purpose.
  • Adhering to company data management policy, ensure all processed data is backed up on both daily and weekly basis.
  • Create/amend charts if requirement of project including creation of project templates.
  • Adhere to Company standards in order to maintain quality management systems.
  • Conduct personnel performance reviews/appraisals for your direct reports.


Requirements

  • Degree in Geomatics, Surveying Science.
  • Relevant industry experience or military/academic experience in survey related discipline.
  • Satisfactory completion of competence criteria for Data Processor Grade I.
  • 24 months experience, including 200 operational days offshore as a Data Processor Grade I.
  • Offshore Survival Training/Certification & up to date medical is required
