- They will consider someone on a hybrid basis. Their ideal will be 2/3 in the office per week, but not necessarily every week. Aviva has many offices so they can consider anyone who can make one of these their office base (Glasgow, Leatherhead, London, Manchester, Norwich, Sheffield, Worthing, York).
Experience required:
- An understanding of process optimisation techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Systems Thinking is also essential.
- They are looking for people who are ‘natural change agents’, first and foremost. People who want to shake things up and who constantly ask “how could this be done better”, expect high standards of those around them and be comfortable having uncomfortable conversations as they will be working directly with the SMEs (https://www.isixsigma.com/dictionary/subject-matter-expert-sme/) to design new processes. Previously this has been done by an existing senior leader, who has now experience in process mapping. Which is why they find themselves in their current position.
- They need someone who is comfortable challenging Senior Leaders as there is likely to be pushback from these people at all stages in the transformation process. A lot of this role will also require capability and leadership improvement.
- They may also be expected to come up with “compelling investment cases” from time to time, so experience with this would be a bonus
- They would like someone who is comfortable working with data, so someone who has worked in a data-related role would appeal to them. Likewise, people who have been Business Analysts previously would also potentially be a good match.
- They will consider someone who has come from a consultancy background.
Must have:
- Six sigma black belt
- Data or business analyst in the past
- Have experience in a consultancy
- 5 years min experience as Transformation Lead
